Three panels,
one second chance

Inspired by Atsuko Sato's rescue of Rika-chan, this page celebrates compassion, animal adoption and the life-changing power of second chances. Through stories and artwork, we hope to encourage more people to protect vulnerable animals, support rescue organisations and open their homes to pets in need.

Found at the market

Cold water on the concrete, crates of fish, and a kitten too weak to walk. Atsuko wrapped her in a blue towel and simply decided not to walk away.
